CD-dubbing (System operation)
4 Select a recording mode.
Press the REC MODE button to select the
desired recording mode.
REC MODE
MONO : Monaural recording mode. The
available recording time is twice
as much as that for “SP.”
SP : Normal stereo recording mode.
The recording time is the same
as the time length indicated on
the CD.
LP2 : Normal stereo recording time is
compressed to half. The
available recording time is twice
that for “SP.”
LP4 : Normal stereo recording time is
compressed to a quarter. The
available recording time is four
times that for “SP.”

Check the available recording time on the MD.
If the display does not indicate the available
recording time, press the DISPLAY button
repeatedly.

Note
A disc recorded in LP2 or LP4 mode can be
played only on MD players that support LP2 or
LP4 mode. If you play such a disc on another
MD player, “LP:” may appear on the display.
5 Select a CD dubbing mode.

Press the EDIT/NO button, then turn the
AMCS knob until “CD Dub Mode?” appears.
5-2 Press the AMSC knob.
The current CD dubbing mode is shown.
(“Fade
Album?” indicates that you are
switching from Fade out to Album CD
dubbing mode.)
5-3 Press the AMSC knob.
To cancel the CD dubbing mode setting,
press the EDIT/NO button.

CD-dubbing is not possible when “Analog In”
or “Digital In 2” is shown on the display.
